Television presenter Laura Woods has delivered scathing criticism of Alexander Isak's conduct, declaring she finds the striker's self-imposed exile from Newcastle United "pretty low".
The broadcaster stated, "If he were an Arsenal player, I wouldn’t want to keep him around and I’d be absolutely buzzing to see the back of him."
Woods expressed fatigue with the ongoing saga, stating: "In all honesty, I’m pretty bored of the whole situation. If he goes to Liverpool then great but if we don’t see him in the Premier League again I’m not that bothered either."

She believes Isak has significantly damaged his standing, not only with Newcastle supporters but across other fanbases, revealing she wouldn’t want the striker at Arsenal: "If Arsenal were linked with him, I’d be pretty unconvinced about him joining now. I feel he’s tarnished his reputation that much."

Woods contrasted Isak's behaviour with Anthony Gordon's committed performance against Liverpool, praising the winger's effort and work rate as exemplifying what Newcastle supporters desire from their players, telling BetMGM: "You just look at Anthony Gordon and the energy and work rate he put in against Liverpool.
"OK, he got sent off for a silly challenge but that effort is what Newcastle need and their supporters crave."
The Swedish striker broke his silence through a forceful public statement, released whilst he was notably absent from the PFA awards ceremony where he'd been named in the Premier League Team of the Season for 2024/25.
"When promises are broken and trust is lost, the relationship can't continue," Isak declared in his statement, directly addressing what he described as a deteriorating situation at St James' Park.
He accused Newcastle of misleading the public, asserting that the club had been aware of his stance for an extended period.
Isak claimed the club had made commitments to him that were subsequently not honoured, stating that maintaining silence had enabled others to present their own narrative despite knowing it didn't accurately represent private discussions and agreements.

The 25-year-old forward has been training separately from Newcastle's main squad for over three months, making himself unavailable for selection as he pursues a transfer to Liverpool.
His most recent appearance for the Magpies occurred on May 25 at the conclusion of the 2023/24 season, and he subsequently missed the entire pre-season period as the dispute intensified.
Liverpool submitted a £110 million offer for the striker, which Newcastle rejected.
LATEST SPORTS NEWS:
Despite his prolonged absence from club football and ongoing dispute with Newcastle, Sweden's national team has selected Isak for their upcoming World Cup qualifying fixtures next week.
The striker's inclusion comes after more than three months without playing for his club, during which he has steadfastly pursued a move to Liverpool whilst refusing to participate in Newcastle's activities.

His international call-up arrives amid the continuing standoff with the Magpies, where he remains under contract for another three years.
The Swedish forward's determination to secure an Anfield transfer has seen him completely isolate himself from Eddie Howe's squad, yet his national team manager has opted to include him regardless of the club situation.
