Fallon Sherrock takes to the Alexandra Palace stage tonight hoping to finally shake off a frustrating spell of early exits at the World Darts Championship.
The 31-year-old faces Dave Chisnall in their first-round clash, and she's desperate to recapture some of that magic from her remarkable 2020 run.
Back then, Sherrock became the first woman ever to win a match at the tournament, beating Ted Evetts before stunning Mensur Suljovic to reach the last 32.
Since that breakthrough, though, it's been tough going. She failed to qualify the following year and has crashed out in the first round in each of her four subsequent appearances.

Tonight represents another chance to turn things around at her beloved Ally Pally.
There's a sense of relief for Sherrock this time around, with the spotlight firmly fixed elsewhere.
Beau Greaves, who faces Daryl Gurney on Friday evening, has become the new focal point for women's darts, and Sherrock is more than happy to let her take centre stage.
"Yes, under the radar - I've never been the person to be the face of women's darts," Sherrock admitted. "For me, that was a lot of pressure.
The Queen of the Palace Fallon Sherrock will return to the Ally Pally | PA"Now Beau's exceeding and doing everything, I'm like 'okay, all eyes [on Greaves], I'm just going to enjoy myself, relax, and go under the radar again."
It's a refreshing change for the Milton Keynes thrower, who can now focus purely on her own game without the weight of expectation that followed her 2020 heroics.
Sherrock believes she's not far from her best form, with her averages regularly hitting the 90s and occasionally touching 100.
"I think once I get my game sorted, I could be better than what I was," she said. "Obviously when I did everything, I didn't have that much experience. Over the last few years I've had defeats, I've had wins, so I know how to deal more with pressure situations now."
Last year's defeat to Ryan Meikle still stings. She'd been 2-1 up before losing a final-set decider, missing out on a potential clash with eventual champion Luke Littler.
"It is frustrating because I don't think I've played that bad since [her 2020 run]," Sherrock added. "I believe it is a little bit of luck you need as well."
Fallon Sherrock stepped away from darts to address health concerns | PASky Sports analyst Laura Turner reckons Chisnall could be there for the taking tonight.
"If you'd asked me before we'd seen the draw, which seed do you think might be in a bit of trouble? Dave Chisnall is probably one I'd put up there," Turner said.
She pointed to his struggles on stage over the past 12 to 18 months, noting he's looked frustrated and hasn't enjoyed a deep TV tournament run for some time.

Darts star Dave Chisnall will take on Fallon Sherrock
| PAChisnall himself knows the crowd won't be on his side.
"Fallon was nicknamed 'Queen of the Palace' after becoming the first woman to win during the men's world at Ally Pally and is a very, very good player," he wrote in his Kwiff column.
"It isn't lost on me how good she is, and I won't be taking her lightly."
