England cricket fans have hit out at India’s Mohammed Siraj following his animated celebration after India clinched a nail-biting six-run victory in the fifth and final Test.
The 31-year-old pacer played a decisive role in India’s stunning win at The Oval, where they tore through England’s lower order, taking three wickets in just over half an hour.
The collapse left Chris Woakes, who was injured and out of action since dislocating his shoulder on day one, with no option but to bat with one hand, with his other arm in a sling, as England chased just 17 more runs to seal the series.
Siraj sealed the win by bowling Gus Atkinson, bringing a thrilling match to an end and levelling the series.

But it was his celebration that divided opinion, as the fast bowler jumped into the air and performed Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic 'Siu' pose on the pitch.
Many England supporters were unimpressed, taking to social media to criticise the display.
One fan posted: "I just cringed so hard at Siraj pulling the Siu in the middle of The Oval."
Another wrote: "That celebration is shocking."
A third added: "Why are they celebrating like they won the whole thing?"
And one particularly frustrated fan even suggested disqualification: "India should be disqualified from winning that purely on the basis of Siraj doing Ronaldo’s celebration. God that’s cringe."
However, not all reactions were negative.
Some applauded Siraj’s performance and his Ronaldo-inspired moment.

One supporter said: "Siraj, what a spell. And that celebration… chills. When Ronaldo is your idol, greatness isn't a choice, it's fate."
Another added: "Yeah, Siraj has got that clutch Ronaldo gene."
Despite the controversy surrounding the post-match reaction, England captain Ben Stokes was gracious in defeat, though clearly disappointed.
He told Sky Sports: "Both teams have put so much energy and effort into this whole series, it's been an amazing one to be a part of.
"Obviously bitterly disappointed that we couldn't get over the line here, but [it's been] a series that has made me very proud of my team and everything they've thrown into this.
"We obviously would have loved to have come away with the series win but it wasn't meant to be."

On Woakes playing through the pain, he added: “Unbelievable, yes, but it was never going to be a question.
"To go out there, running between the wickets, but we've had guys, Rishabh [Pant], broken foot, Bash [Shoaib Bashir] with a broken finger, and Chris going out there with a recently dislocated shoulder.
"It shows how much energy and effort has been put into this series.”
