Chris Eubank Jr has thrown his highly anticipated rematch with Conor Benn into doubt after admitting there are still “a few things” that have not been agreed upon in the contract.
After their enthralling first bout, which took place in April of this year, fans demanded to see the pair have it out in the ring again - and they duly delivered.
During the summer, the pair announced they would battle once more, again at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, on November 15.
But there could be another twist in the tale; Eubank Jr has revealed the contract is “still up for negotiation” in a worrying update for boxing fans.

Speaking on Ring Magazine’s Inside the Ring podcast, Eubank Jr revealed: “These are not easy waters to navigate. You know, the final contract for this fight hasn’t actually even been fully agreed on.
“So, you know, there’s still a few things that we’re gonna try and smooth out and make right.

“There are certain parts of the contract that are still up for negotiation. I’m not going to go into what parts of those contracts they are, but we are in negotiations for certain things, so it’s up to me and my team to get the best deal.”
One area that could be up for negotiation still is the rehydration clause.
The 35-year-old was fined £375,000 ahead of the pair’s last bout for failing to make weight during fight week.
He was within the 10lb rehydration limit on the morning of the fight, however.
Chris Eubank Sr has previously expressed concern for his son’s safety with the “dangerous and reckless” rehydration clauses.

“Junior wasn't even sweating at the end of the fight, dehydration,” Eubank Sr despaired on his YouTube channel.
“These rules are in place to save my son. To save the lives of fighters.
“They are dangerous and they are reckless. If the Boxing Board of Control do not do what they are supposed to do, which is to block fights from happening which do not abide by the weights and the rules, you are baboons!”

Eubank Jr's promoter, Ben Shalom, also expressed the fighter’s displeasure with the clause in an interview with talkSPORT prior to the pair’s last fight: “We aren’t happy with the rehydration clause. Chris isn’t committed to that rehydration clause again, as of yet.
“The initial time that was put to us, it was an ultimatum. It was the fight is not happening unless this. So Chris is in a difficult position.
LATEST SPORTS NEWS:
“Everything was agreed, everything, we’ve gone through the contract and done every single clause.
“We get to the last moment just before the press conference and then it was landed on us, an ultimatum like that.
“In the end, Chris is a money man, and he accepted the challenge. Is it healthy, is it right?
“Should it be banned from boxing? Absolutely. It should not be used in this fight.
Chris Eubank Jr beat Conor Benn via a unanimous decision in April

Tensions are already building ahead of their fight in one month’s time - especially between Eubank Jr and Benn’s promoter, Eddie Hearn.
The pair exchanged heated words during a press conference, after Hearn requested “30 seconds” to honour Ricky Hatton, who was found dead at his home in Hyde, Manchester, last month, aged 46.
But as the promoter started to speak, Eubank Jr interrupted him sharply, saying: “Come on Eddie, there’s no 30 seconds. You know the drill.”

Hearn, visibly frustrated, snapped back: “All I was going to do was say a few words about Ricky Hatton.
“You’re an a**hole, you talk s***, you’ll get what’s coming to you.”
Despite recent contract revelations, the bout is still scheduled to take place next month.
Benn is seeking revenge for the unanimous decision that saw him lose the first fight of his career at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in April.
Eubank Jr was victorious that evening, in a fight-of-the-year contender. Fans will be hoping November provides more of the same.
