Princess Astrid of Norway is recuperating from pneumonia at Oslo National Hospital, the royal palace has confirmed.
The 94-year-old, sister to King Harald, was admitted last Friday and is reported to be making progress in her recovery.
Her illness meant she was unable to attend the Belgian royal family's state visit last week.
Palace communications director Guri Varpe stated at the time that the princess required "rest and convalescence."

King Harald and Queen Sonja have since been seen visiting her at the hospital.
No discharge date has been announced, with the palace declining to provide additional details about her condition.
Despite her advanced years, Princess Astrid maintains an active role within the Norwegian monarchy.
She currently holds 12 patronages and fulfilled 17 official engagements throughout 2025.
The princess marked her 94th birthday in February, yet even on that milestone occasion she continued working for the royal household. The Norwegian royals wished her a "really nice celebration" at the time.
She remains a regular presence at significant state occasions, having attended French President Macron's state visit in the previous year.
Before Queen Sonja assumed the position in 1968, Princess Astrid served as Norway's First Lady following the death of her mother, Crown Princess Märtha, in 1954.
Since 2022, the princess has relied on a wheelchair for mobility. Speaking to NRK, she explained: "I sit in a chair and stuff, but it's my legs that fail and not so much my head, so I remember things and I can be involved with things."
Princess Astrid has made clear she has no plans to step back from public life. She remains committed to assisting King Harald in his duties.
Her steadfast presence has been particularly valuable during what has been a challenging period for the Norwegian royal household, with several family members facing their own difficulties.
King Harald himself has experienced health concerns recently, having been hospitalised during a trip to Tenerife with Queen Sonja.
Norway's royal family faces additional pressures elsewhere.
Crown Princess Mette-Marit has come under intense scrutiny regarding her past association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. In an emotional interview, she said she had been "manipulated and deceived."
The Crown Princess is also contending with serious health issues of her own. She suffers from pulmonary fibrosis and is currently awaiting a lung transplant.
