The duo will meet in Saudi Arabia on February 17 in one of the biggest fights in recent memory

Tyson Fury has confessed he's only training for five weeks ahead of his lucrative showdown with Oleksandr Usyk.

And the Gypsy King has also mocked the Ukrainian for wearing earrings, too, as their mega fight creeps closer.

Fury and Usyk had originally been set to face off on December 23, only for their battle to be delayed due to the Briton requiring more time to recover from his narrow victory over Francis Ngannou at the end of October.

They'll now meet on February 17 instead, with millions set to watch the action in Saudi Arabia.

A TNT Sports interview with both Fury and Usyk has now leaked online.

And the Gypsy King confesses that he's only training for five weeks ahead of their scrap in the Middle East.

"I'm not even in the gym. I don't train this far out come on," he said.

"Who do you think you're talking to? A professional athlete?

"Come on. I train four to five weeks for these fights."

Steve Bunce then interrupts Fury and points out: "You said you trained 12 weeks for Francis Ngannou."

The 35-year-old responded by saying: "Please. Like I trained 12 weeks for Wilder and everybody else.

"Four or five weeks. How much training does a man need? Three or four weeks of sparring and one week of resting, done."

Fury also opted to mock Usyk for wearing earrings, saying nobody who wears the fashion item is capable of getting the better of him.

“I know he can’t beat me, I know he can’t,” he said confidently.

“A man who wears an earring can never beat Tyson Fury, ever.

“Not a chance, no-one who wears earrings can beat him.”

However, Usyk has now explained why he wears them - saying it's due to a group of Ukrainian warriors, Cossacks.

“I can explain about the earrings,” he said, “It’s Ukrainian warrior, Cossack.

“They were the people who defended my country from our enemies for many years.

“This is just the proof of my Cossack lineage – they never lost to anybody.

“There is no beauty or fashion in this.”

Fury, somewhat typically, was undeterred by Usyk's response and says the earrings make his rival look like a 'p***y'.

“Listen in Ukraine it means he’s a good fighting man, for him," he added.

“But where I’m from it means he’s a p***y with an earring in.”

Both Fury and Usyk are unbeaten ahead of their bout.

The Briton has won 34 of his 35 career fights, with a draw against Deontay Wilder in December 2018 the only time he's failed to come out on top.

Usyk, meanwhile, has won all 21 of his showdowns - with an impressive 14 of them coming via knockout.
