All information on Jeffrey Epstein, including documents relating to his death, will be made public

The Epstein files are to be released within 30 days as Donald Trump has signed a historic bill.

The US President said: "I have just signed the Bill to release the Epstein files.

"Democrats have used the 'Epstein' issue, which affects them far more than the Republican Party, in order to try and distract from our amazing victories."

The Bill, named the Epstein Files Transparency Act, was put before the President after it was passed by the House of Representatives on Tuesday and then by the Senate.

After the Bill was passed, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said: "This is about giving the American people the transparency they've been crying for.

"Jeffrey Epstein's victims have waited long enough."

The Justice Department now has 30 days to release all the documents it has on Jeffrey Epstein "in a searchable and downloadable format".

Any information regarding the investigation into Epstein's death in federal prison in 2019 must also be released.

Although some sections could be withheld if they are seen to invade personal privacy or relate to an ongoing investigation, information is not allowed to be withheld due to "embarrassment, reputational harm, or political sensitivity".

Mr Trump had previously denounced the files, branding them a "hoax".

However, over the weekend he called on Republicans in Congress to vote in favour of the Bill.

The President said: "Because of this request, the votes were unanimous in favour of the passage."

The vote in the House of Representatives saw 427 vote in favour with only one against.

Mr Trump has repeatedly drawn links between Epstein and the Democrats, especially Bill Clinton.

He called for the Justice Department to investigate the former President's links to the disgraced financier.

He also pressed for investigations into Epstein's links with former treasury secretary Larry Summers and Reid Hoffman, the LinkedIn founder and a prominent Democrat donor.

All three men were mentioned in the 20,000 other Epstein-related documents released by Congress's House Oversight Committee last week, but none of them have been accused of any wrongdoing in the case.

Mr Trump's own links to Epstein have been scrutinised in the past, but the President has consistently denied all wrongdoing.

Following the President's announcement, Attorney General Pam Bondi said: "We will continue to follow the law and encourage maximum transparency."
