BBC blasted for coverage of Women's World Cup as England beat Denmark

Sarina Wiegman's side have made it two wins from two
Football fans on Twitter have criticised the BBC for their studio during the Women's World Cup.
England beat Denmark 1-0 on Friday to make it successive wins at the competition, with Lauren James scoring the only goal of the game.
But while fans were delighted with the result, many were unhappy at the set the BBC are using to report on the tournament.
"The BBC’s virtual Women’s World Cup set is perhaps a good illustration of why the BBC’s Tokyo Olympics set was so good," said one fan.

"What is it with TV sports and virtual studios as they always look s**t (see BBC Women’s World Cup coverage for an example)? As well as looking very false, they also seem to love having a camera that doesn’t stop moving," said another.
A third said: "This BBC green screen fake set for the WWC is absolutely horrendous - are we supposed to think they’re actually stood in that studio?"
"BBC's green screen studio design is terrible," opined a fourth fan.
"What on earth's going on with the BBC studio for the footie? It looks like one of Zuckerbergs ropey metaverse demo's," ranted a fifth.
And another fan said: "Why does the BBC World Cup studio set look like it was created on the Timesplitters 2 level editor?"
England had gone into their match with Denmark on a high after a 1-0 win over Haiti last time out.
And James' goal in the sixth minute was enough to give the Lionesses all three points.
The Chelsea star broke the deadlock with a terrific strike from the edge of the box.
However, while England were able to survive a late Denmark onslaught, they suffered a huge blow following an injury to Keira Walsh.
Walsh was one of England's best players as they won the European Championships last year.
The Barcelona star was even voted as player of the match in the 2-1 final win over Germany.
But Walsh's involvement in this tournament is now up in the air.
The 26-year-old went down with a knee injury in the first half, with her studs appearing to get stuck in the turf.
Walsh was visibly distressed on the field as she was stretchered off.
And whether she plays again this tournament is something only time will tell.
England now have six points from six, with the Lionesses showing they can be a force to be reckoned with this summer.
They're hoping to make the final for the first time, with England falling at the semi-final stage in the last two tournaments.
They finished fourth in France in 2019.
