Prince William has delivered a personal message after Aston Villa's historic European success this evening.
The Prince of Wales experienced a whole spectrum of emotions on the night, but in the end it was a comfortable 3-0 victory for his side, who lift their first European trophy in 44 years.
Taking to Instagram, William wrote: "Amazing night!! Huge congratulations to all the players, team, staff and everyone connected to the club! 44 years since the last taste of European silverware!
"Special shout out to Boubacar Kamara who has been out injured but is such an integral part of our team and helped lay the foundations of this success."
He concluded with abbreviations for "Up The Villa!" and "Villa 'Till I Die!" before signing off with his trademark, W.
The next King of England was just another fan tonight.
Whether it was head in hands, pure ecstasy, rousing applause, or recording the jubilant scenes - William struggled to take in just what he had seen, as did 11,000 travelling Villa fans, and many more at home.
It started a cagey affair, with both sets of players looking content to head into the break level.

But two quickfire wonder-goals from Youri Tielemans and Emi Buendia sent the Birmingham-based club into the break 2-0.
That lead quickly became three when Buendia turned scorer to provider, as he slid the ball across to Morgan Rogers, who tapped home.
Villa's supporters, who had waited nearly half a century for another continental final, witnessed their side deliver a truly commanding performance on the grandest stage, with their star quality ultimately shining through.

Speaking on the prince after the game, Villa captain John McGinn told TNT Sports: "He's a classy guy. He was in the dressing room before the game - he's a massive Villa fan, so he was never going to miss it!
"It's great to have his support - he's just a normal guy.
"Hopefully it continues and tonight he can have a few drinks with us, and maybe get his credit card out with us!"
The victory means Villa boss Unai Emery wins the competition for an astonishing fifth time, firmly cementing his place as the greatest coach in Europa League history.

It also marks Villa's greatest achievement in the Prince of Wales's lifetime, with their last European triumph coming all the way back in 1982 - the scenes at the end did it justice.
The usually composed boss Emery could be seen on the shoulders of goalkeeper Emi Martinez, as Jadon Sancho and Rogers led the celebrations by dancing in a circle.
Because the players wrote their names into the club's history books on the night, as His Royal Highness watched on with elation, delight, but most of all, pride.
