The engagement forms part of a broader royal visit to the military installation in Moray.

Following the ceremonial proceedings, the King inspected one of the nine P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft stationed at the base.
During the aircraft tour, the King met Poseidon flight crews and examined state-of-the-art systems designed for detecting, identifying and tracking maritime targets.
The multi-purpose aircraft serves various operational roles, from anti-submarine warfare operations to surveillance missions and search and rescue deployments.
Representatives from the broader RAF Lossiemouth community also participated in these meetings.
RAF Lossiemouth serves as one of Britain's two Quick Reaction Alert facilities, maintaining round-the-clock vigilance over UK airspace.

The base houses both Typhoon fighter jets and the Poseidon maritime patrol fleet, positioning it as a vital component of national defence infrastructure.
Before he departed, the King met youngsters and their families participating in the Airplay Youth support initiative.
The programme serves children residing on the base or in surrounding communities near RAF Lossiemouth.

The monarch said: "It gives me the greatest possible pleasure to be here with you all today to mark the standing up of 42 Torpedo Bomber Squadron, and to present you with your new Standard.
I am especially pleased to be doing so here at RAF. Lossiemouth, the beating heart of the United Kingdom’s long range maritime patrol aircraft capability, and an air station at the end of whose runway my old school, Gordonstoun, is situated!"
The King concluded: "Your dedication, skill and professionalism are an immense credit to the Royal Air Force and to the United Kingdom.
"You carry forward a proud legacy, and I have no doubt that you will continue to uphold the highest standards in the years to come."
