The royal had an emotional reunion this week

The Duchess of Edinburgh showcased a familiar outfit with a twist as she attended a conference on Saturday.

Sophie is known for her monochromatic style, dazzling in single striking colours and has shown she knows how to style them across many years of standout outfits.

The same happened on Saturday when she attended the UNA-UK conference to mark the 80th anniversary of the founding of the UN.

The conference took place at the Methodist Central Hall, the site of the inaugural UN General Assembly.

For such an occasion, the duchess brought out one of her most recognisable looks, from a go-to designer, but in a colour she has never been seen in before.

She sported the Yahvi midi dress from Beulah, which has long fluted sleeves, a fitted bodice, a round neckline and an A-line skirt embossed with buttons down the side, the signature look for the dress, but she was seen in a deep red variation of the dress, a new look for the royal.

The 60-year-old was spotted in the pale blue variation of the dress during VE Day celebrations in 2025.

She accessorised the outfit with a Jane Taylor hat of the same colour, a pair of baby blue heels, a darker blue clutch and a silver-toned diamond necklace with a double-scroll gold and diamond pendant from Collins & Sons.

In April 2025, she donned the pastel yellow version of the Yahvi dress as she attended a dementia research laboratory in Edinburgh. On that occasion, she paired the dress with sparkling drop earrings and snakeskin wedge shoes from a favourite of the Princess of Wales, L.K. Bennett.

In May 2024, she was seen walking the iconic Abbey Road in the coral-toned version of the dress, and also wore it again in an off-white when meeting with the President and First Lady of Iraq.

THE ROYAL FAMILY

The duchess has been busy since the start of the year and has taken time to return to the service that saved her life nearly 25 years ago.

Sophie attended the headquarters of Thames Valley Air Ambulance in Stokenchurch.

In 2001, the then Countess of Wessex experienced a potentially fatal ectopic pregnancy at her Bagshot Park residence, requiring an emergency airlift to King Edward VII hospital in London for urgent surgery.

Despite this traumatic experience, Sophie went on to welcome two children: Lady Louise Windsor arrived in 2003, followed by James, Earl of Wessex, in 2007.

A year after her medical emergency, she personally expressed her gratitude to pilot Andy Busby and paramedic Tim Goddard at a charity fundraising dinner.

Sophie, who celebrates her 61st birthday next week, has maintained a deep connection with the charity since becoming a patient in 2001 and was appointed its Royal Patron in 2019.

The visit was described as a "morale boost" by the lifesaving organisation, coming after what proved to be their most demanding year on record.

Sophie toured the expanded facilities during the engagement.

She also had the opportunity to handle essential medical equipment herself, even practising a lifesaving intervention during her time at the facility.
