France's Ambassador to the UK Hélène Duchêne shared an Ascot Landau with Emmanuel Moulin, Secretary-General of the Presidency, General Fabien Mandon, Chief of the Military Staff, and Emmanuel Bonne, Diplomatic Advisor.

A fifth Ascot Landau transported presidential advisers including Tristan Bromet, Special Adviser to the President, Xavier Chatel, Advisor for Strategic Affairs and Disarmament, and Alexis Dutertre, Europe Adviser from the Office of the President.

The procession followed a ceremonial route through Windsor, beginning at Datchet Road and continuing along Thames Street and High Street.

The carriages then proceeded through Park Street before entering Windsor Castle via Cambridge Gate and the George IV Gateway, concluding in the castle's Quadrangle.

Members of the Armed Forces from all three services lined the entire route from Datchet Road to the Park Street Gate.

The military presence provided a formal guard of honour for the State Visit procession as it makes its way to the castle.

Upon arrival at Windsor Castle's Quadrangle, the presidential couple will receive a Guard of Honour Royal Salute whilst the regimental band performs both the French and British national anthems.
