The Duke of Westminster’s charity has outlined its plans for 2026 as it looks to turn £10million of grants into effective support for its organisations.
The Westminster Foundation provides long-term, sustainable support to vulnerable children, young people, and their families.
In its first Instagram post of the new year, the Westminster Foundation stated it was “excited to continue supporting charities.”
The post said: “Happy New Year! Last year, we awarded over £10m through 175 grants to organisations committed to enabling positive futures for children and young people.

|“In 2026, we’re excited to continue supporting charities aligned with our strategic priorities, with a focus on early intervention.
“Convening and collaborating with a diverse set of stakeholders to drive positive change for children and young people.
“Helping charities become more resilient through training, toolkits, and resources.
“Together with our brilliant charity partners, we look forward to creating a lasting impact for children and young people.”
The Duke of Westminster makes regular visits to charities and work that the Westminster Foundation assists with.
Hugh Grosvenor became a billionaire when he inherited his title and control of the Grosvenor Estate aged 25, following the death of his father, Gerald Grosvenor, from a heart attack in 2016.

He became one of the UK’s biggest landowners and is a close friend to both Prince Harry and Prince William.
The Duke is also godfather to Prince George, and William acted as an usher at his wedding, which Harry agreed not to attend, due to the ongoing rift between the brothers.
Hugh’s property company, Grosvenor Group, owns hundreds of acres of land in Mayfair and Belgravia, as well as city developments, such as Liverpool’s One shopping centre.

The 34-year-old married his wife, Olivia, in June 2024 at Chester Cathedral, and welcomed their first child, Lady Cosima Florence Grosvenor, in July last year.
In December 2024, Olivia joined the Duke as they attended a school in Westminster supported by School Food Matters, which aims to improve children’s access to healthy food during their time at school.

In 2020, Hugh donated £12.5m to help the UK fight Covid-19, including funds for NHS Charities Together and for medical research and development.
