Queen Camilla offered a light-hearted health update this evening as she joined the third annual Queen’s Reading Room Festival at Chatsworth House in Bakewell, Derbyshire.
The Queen met actress Celia Imrie during the literary celebration, where the star asked: “Are you feeling better?”
Camilla replied: “I’m sorry if my voice gives halfway through, but as you can imagine, I’ve been doing quite a lot of talking the last few days!”
The exchange followed a busy week for the 78-year-old monarch, who is recovering from acute sinusitis.

Earlier this week, a Buckingham Palace spokesman told GB News: “With great regret, Her Majesty The Queen has withdrawn from attendance at this afternoon’s Requiem Mass for The Duchess of Kent as she is recovering from acute sinusitis.
“Her thoughts and prayers will be with The Duke of Kent and all the family.”
Despite cancelling the church service on doctors’ advice, Camilla returned to public duties soon after.
She hosted Donald and Melania Trump in the United Kingdom alongside King Charles throughout the US President’s State Visit, which included a banquet at Windsor Castle and ceremonial events in London.

At Chatsworth House on Thursday, Her Majesty immersed herself in the festival’s literary programme.
She met people taking part in one of the Queen’s Reading Room charity’s grassroots outreach projects, watched a live performance of Jane Austen’s work and viewed a display of items connected to the celebrated author.
The Queen also greeted members of the public gathered for an outdoor screening of Pride and Prejudice on the lawns of the Derbyshire estate.

Later in the evening, she joined a reception with leading writers and performers appearing at the festival, including Ms Imrie and Richard Osman.
The Queen’s Reading Room Festival, now in its third year, promotes reading for pleasure and supports projects that improve access to literature in schools, prisons and communities across the country.
Camilla’s cheerful conversation with Ms Imrie signalled a continued recovery and underlined her commitment to her literary charity despite a demanding week of state and family engagements.
