Queen Camilla’s son, Tom Parker Bowles, has claimed there would be a “revolution” and the "Buckingham Palace gate would be stormed" if he were to be made a prince.
Mr Parker Bowles works as a food and restaurant critic for The Mail on Sunday, and is Camilla’s son with her first husband, Andrew Parker Bowles, and the pair also share daughter Laura Lopes.
The 51-year-old was asked about being made a prince on a recent appearance on the Good Food podcast with Samuel Goldsmith.
"If my mum became Queen, I'd be like, 'I want to be a prince,'" the host joked.

"I'd tell you that would be the quickest way to revolution," Tom quipped back.
“I think we're fairly balanced and sober and sensible country on the whole, but if I suddenly became prince, I think Buckingham Palace gates would be stormed.
“It would be appalling. Really, no… I think that would put back the long and glorious cause of the monarchy in Britain by many years, no.”
Mr Goldsmith quickly followed up with “You might get your own Netflix show, you know, if you do it!”
Camilla’s son laughed in response before saying: “I wouldn't mind that! But no, I think that would be… stick it, keep to my original.”
Tom and Laura became step-siblings to Prince William and Prince Harry when King Charles and Camilla wed in 2005, but the Queen’s children live their lives outside of the royal sphere.

They have made a few royal appearances; both of the children attended Queen Elizabeth’s state funeral in September 2022 and the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla in May 2023.
The children are seen at more informal occasions, such as horse races and Tom’s book parties, which Camilla attends.
In 2024, Tom spoke on how the King and Queen have been incredible grandparents to his two children, Lola and Freddy, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Sara Buys.
He told People: "They adore her. They adore the King, too. He has been a wonderful step-grandfather."

In December, the 51-year-old launched a scathing attack on the Labour Government at a cigar event in London.
Mr Parker Bowles said: "We’re here, back again, bruised, battered and perhaps destroyed, almost, by the sovereign functions of a Government so useless, they cannot even be bothered to lie properly.
“We’re still standing, of course, as we smoke fags and cigars, and drink, we have a good time.”

He urged attendees not to allow "the politics of envy" to tarnish the evening's celebrations.
The restaurant critic has previously spoken out against the Government's inheritance tax changes affecting agricultural estates.
"We're a farming country and farmers have been criminally ignored by the Government," he told The Telegraph last year regarding the inheritance tax raid.
