Kate, King Charles and Sarah Ferguson have all been open about their recent health concerns

Princess Anne, Queen Camilla and the Duchess of Edinburgh will "keep up with their appearances" while members of the Royal Family are in hospital, a royal commentator has claimed.

King Charles and Princess Kate are two royals who are currently receiving or about to receive hospital treatment for various health concerns.

On Wednesday, January 17, Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace released royal statements about Kate and King Charles respectively.

The Princess of Wales, 42, is currently recuperating in hospital for 10 to 14 days after "planned abdominal surgery", which took place on January 16.

Prince William announced in Kensington Palace's statement that he would halt his royal duties during his wife's convalescence.

Meanwhile, the King, 75, arrived in London on Thursday, January 25 as he prepared to undergo an operation for an enlarged prostate.

This comes as Sarah, Duchess of York recently announced she was diagnosed with skin cancer, her second cancer diagnosis within a year.

According to a style expert, the Princess Royal, the Duchess of Edinburgh and the Queen will "keep up appearances", as they will perform the majority of royal engagements during Kate and Charles's recovery periods.

Marian Kwei, a fashion and royal style commentator, exclusively spoke to GB News about how Anne, Sophie and Camilla will support the monarchy over the next few weeks.

She claimed: "We can expect that the jewellery choices of Princess Anne, the Duchess of Edinburgh and Queen Camilla will be as per norm.

"It will be important to keep up with appearances at this time as King Charles, the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of York seek medical treatment.

"The Royal Family will be keen to show that despite what is going on, it is business as normal."

It comes as both Princess Anne and the Duchess of Edinburgh have worn scarves in recent days which were reportedly Christmas gifts from the King.

The £115 scarves were created through Highgrove and Prince’s Foundation’s recent collaboration.

The scarf is made in Elgin, Scotland and is available to purchase from the Highgrove Gardens website.

The Princess Royal was first spotted wearing the accessory on Christmas Day 2023, alongside her husband Timothy Laurence and niece Lady Louise Windsor.
