Princess Anne gave a wave to a group of excited students during a visit to the University of Lancashire.
The Princess Royal journeyed up north to visit the education centre's new veterinary medicine school, which was recently opened.
Anne, 75, met with students and staff as she was taken on a tour of the £40million university building.

Students giddily waved at the Princess Royal as she was shown around the building, with footage posted online of Anne surpassing 500,000 views.
The user, known as ChloeRadz, captioned the video: "Officially starstruck. Princess Anne at uni was not on my Tuesday bingo card."
Leanne Stagg showed the princess a virtual dissection table during the royal visit.
Ms Stagg told Blog Preston: "She was very engaged with what we were doing. She did ask the purpose of the digital anatomy table initially, but then engaged with the students.

"It is definitely a good thing for them to come up here and just spreads the image as we, as a university, want to diversify and widen participation for students.
"With a high-profile figure coming here from the south will hopefully bring a wider array of students."
Anne, alongside the pro-chancellor and chair of the university board at the University of Lancashire, Jon Baldwin, unveiled a plaque to remember the moment.
Student Zachary Thompson said the Princess Royal was "quite excited" during the tour.

"She was surprised by the technology, as back in her day, it wasn't this advanced. She seemed quite excited with it all."
Fans of the Princess Royal praised her earlier this month for driving herself to the University of Gloucestershire's new City Campus.
Anne took the wheel just a day after Princess Catherine drove herself to Windsor Castle for an engagement.
