Prince William has held a meeting with the President of Estonia at Windsor Castle after an overseas engagement.

The Prince of Wales undertook an overseas visit to Estonia in March 2025 in his role as Colonel-in-Chief of the Mercian Regiment.

The international engagement allowed the royal to see the work the regiment was doing as part of Operation Cabrit.

Prince William also carried out engagements in Tallinn to learn more about how the country has responded to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and how Estonia is innovating in renewable energy and technology.

The meeting today between the prince and President Karis is another sign of the continued strong relationship between the Royal Family and the leader of Estonia.

Following the audience, the Prince of Wales will undertake an investiture at Windsor Castle.

In March, Prince William met with hundreds of well-wishers outside the Cleantech Association in Tallinn after he attended a workshop with a range of renewable energy start-ups and heard how Estonia and other Baltic states are ushering in a new era of energy security.

A Palace spokesperson said at the time: “Both the Prince and Princess have been strong supporters of the Ukrainian community since the conflict began… This visit to Estonia is a continuation of that support and as the situation continues to evolve the prince wanted to see firsthand how Estonia have played an integral part in helping over 60,000 refugees rebuild their lives.”

The Prince of Wales, 43, was handed a basket of fresh vegetables and protein sources by royal enthusiast Talis Tobreluts, who branded the meeting as an "incredible honour".

Speaking exclusively to GB News, Tobreluts explained: "I wanted to make a gift for Prince William, but not any gift.

"I wanted it to come from my heart, and I was thinking about Prince William's past last year when his father and wife announced their battle against a bad disease, cancer.

"I decided to to come up with a present or gift with a powerful message that is, stay healthy.

"Eat lots of vegetables with fibre, vitamins and minerals, and eat lots of protein too. Eating protein and doing resistance training is the best solution for everyone while they are aging. So this is the best anti aging solution in the world."

Describing the interaction with the Prince of Wales, Tobreluts told the People's Channel: "I’d already lifted the basket onto the fence. Security had eyed it with understandable suspicion."

"'Are there only carrots in there?' one guard asked. I smiled. 'No, there’s protein too'.

"When the prince reached me, I told him I had a special gift for him. He looked genuinely surprised and said no one had ever given him anything like it before.

“'Are these really for me?' he asked. 'They’re really for you,' I replied. 'A heartfelt gift'."
