Prince William presented Ellie Goulding with an MBE at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, honouring the pop star's dedication to environmental causes and biodiversity protection.
The ceremony marked a poignant reunion, coming almost exactly 15 years after the 39-year-old entertained guests at William and Catherine's wedding reception.
Ms Goulding, who gave birth to her second child just two months ago, beamed as the Prince of Wales pinned the honour to her white peplum blazer.
The Hereford-born artist completed her outfit with a white suit featuring brown detailing at the hips and a netted hat.

Her name appeared in the New Year's Honours list in recognition of her work as a global environmental ambassador for the United Nations.
The singer has dedicated years to championing environmental causes, partnering with Sir David Attenborough in 2019 to contribute the track In This Together for the Our Planet documentary series.
She addressed 85 heads of state at London's Illegal Wildlife Trade Conference in October 2018, having urged the fashion industry to adopt sustainable practices just weeks earlier.
When the honour was announced in January, Goulding posted on Instagram: "It is such a great honour to receive an MBE for services to biodiversity and climate. From the get go I have been guided and helped by women in this space."
She added: "The talent pool is deep, fearless, and just keeps charging forwards. I am lifted on the shoulders of giants. Extremely proud."

Ms Goulding welcomed her daughter Iris Edaline on March 6 with her boyfriend Beau Minniear, adding to her family which includes four-year-old son Arthur from her marriage to Caspar Jopling.
The artist has maintained a longstanding friendship with Prince William, stretching back to his wedding day in 2011 when she performed a rendition of Elton John's Your Song for the newlyweds' first dance.
Their paths crossed again at the Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony in Boston in 2022, where William and Catherine were promoting environmental initiatives.
Ms Goulding serves as patron of The Marylebone Project, supporting homeless women, and works as an ambassador for the World Wide Fund for Nature.

At 23, Ms Goulding claimed both the Critics' Choice Brit Award and topped the BBC's Sound Of 2010 poll, with her debut album Lights reaching number one on the UK charts.
She has since achieved three more chart-topping albums: Halcyon in 2012, Brightest Blue in 2020, and Higher Than Heaven in 2023.
Her environmental message extended to her music when her cover of Joni Mitchell's River reached number one in early 2020, accompanied by a video featuring a Christmas tree crafted from beach litter and recycled materials.
