Prince Harry's charity Sentebale has dismissed all except one member of its London workforce as it grapples with an apparent financial shortfall.
The African based organisation has been embroiled in an acrimonious public dispute between the Duke of Sussex and the charity's former chairwoman Dr Sophie Chandauka.
The conflict, which erupted earlier this year, involved claims of bullying and misogyny and prompted widespread resignations from the charity's board.

A Charity Commission report did not find evidence of widespread bullying, harassment, misogyny, or misconduct by Prince Harry or by any other trustees but did acknowledge that several people involved felt they had been mistreated, and that those feelings should not be dismissed.

Sentebale has now confirmed that only a single full-time employee remains at its UK headquarters following the redundancies.
The charity stated that seven departures would occur across three locations between April and September.
A redundancy notice indicated the organisation "does not have" donor funding and was entering "retrenchment".
Among those dismissed was the charity's global head of finance and compliance, The Times reported.
The move follows the dramatic public row between the Duke and Sentebale

For their part, Sentebale told GB News that the recent layoffs of were part of a "global restructuring" that had been discussed in early 2024 and announced in December of that year.
They explained it was intended to: "Improve efficiencies, transition senior executive roles to Southern Africa and to respond to changing service delivery demands."
To that end, they said that the restructuring was prompted by "increasing uncertainty relating to international donor funding specifically (e.g. USAID) and uncertainty relating to events such as polo."
"It is worth noting that the narrative being created with regards to departures is entirely misleading," they added.

The news comes as it emerged the Mamohato Children’s Centre in Lesotho, which cared for more than 700 children every year at educational camps, had been “effectively mothballed”.
The Times reported that staff had been asked to save money by working from home at that a £1.4 million budget built up over the previous 20 years had been used up.
“The main thing we’re all waiting for are the accounts,” a source told the paper.
“There have been a lot of redundancies, there’s been people who have been let go, a lot of churn and people have left,” they added.

The Duke of Sussex established Sentebale alongside Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in 2006
It was intended to honour their late mothers whilst addressing HIV/Aids and poverty affecting young people in Lesotho and Botswana.
The redundancy programme has affected approximately 27 positions throughout the organisation.
The dispute originated Dr Chandauka lodged complaints with the Charity Commission, levelling accusations of bullying, misogyny and racism against the board.
Following the report of The Charity Commission, Prince Harry is said to be in talks to launch a "new charity" among other moves as "all options remain on the table".
