The Duke and Duchess of Sussex sparked fury amongst LA Dodgers fans by claiming the seats and relegating local legends Magic Johnson and Sandy Koufax to the second row.

The decision came as the duo made a surprise appearance attending the game, with Major League Baseball sharing a video of the couple's arrival at the World Series fixture.

Fox TV cameras regularly zoomed in on the duo, who wore Dodgers hats and supported the home side, who lost the fixture 6-2 to the Toronto Blue Jays.

Dodgers fans were not impressed, taking out their frustrations on social media.

One fan said: "Why the hell are they in front of Sandy?", with a second adding: "They need to leave."

Mr Johnson is part-owner of the team, while Mr Koufax is a Hall of Fame pitcher and a four-time World Series winner.

Another fan said: "Magic Johnson is royalty," as they called for Harry and Meghan to sit in different seats.

It is unclear whether the duo paid for the seats or were invited as VIPs by the team.

Other fans were delighted to see the couple attend the fixture, with one saying it gave the game "the royal seal of approval".

Another added: "Dodgers uniting the world one hat at a time."

Meghan posted a video of the duo at the contest on Instagram and shared a story about the pair together at the fixture, smiling with Mr Johnson and his wife, Cookie.

In a separate clip, Meghan enthusiastically points at a row of Gold Glove awards before placing her hand over her mouth while biting a hot dog.

Harry is then seen pumping the air as he excitedly said: "Let's go."

Both wore blue Dodgers caps, matching the rest of their outfit with white shirts and blue overlays.

The duo supported LA, despite having deep connections to Toronto and Canada.

Meghan previously called Toronto her "home" spending seven years of her life there, while Harry trained with the Canadian forces during his time in the military.
