The royal couple fear that other parents will have to manage their child's social media activity with minimal existing knowledge.
Harry stated: "In no logical, fair, ethical, moral world, should a parent have to consider this app that sits on the phone.
"For these kids who are on smartphones at the moment, even if you're a parent who says, you know what, I'm not going to allow you to be on Instagram. I'm not going to allow you to be on Snapchat.
"Guess what happens? They go to school, they get bullied because they're the only person that's not on that platform."

Prince Harry showed off a baseball he received from the game.
|The Duke of Sussex said he would rather their children had "old phones" as opposed to the modern options available.
The royal said: "The reality is that if you talk about just having a smartphone and a sort of old school phone, two very different things.
"If you want to be able to contact your kid, maybe we should just be giving them the old school phone. AKA they call it dumb phones now, right? Funny that, because the smartphone seems to be making us dumber anyway."
The prince warned about parents posting their children online due to the risk of unregulated AI.

As fans celebrated, Meghan smiled on following the surprise appearance at the baseball fixture.
|Harry said: "The reality is from what I've learnt, what I've seen, what I've heard and experienced, especially through the parents network, is you should be really worried, concerned and cautious about putting photographs of your kids online, especially now.
"With this surge of unregulated AI, you just don't know where it's going to go. You don't know how it's going to be [used]."
Discussing about what age he would feel comfortable with the pair's kids having social media, the prince felt that 21 "is a sensible age".
The prince stated: "I think you know, once your brain is properly formed, you are starting to learn who you are."
