The Duke and Duchess of Sussex live in Montecito, California with their two young children.
The couple moved to the US in 2020 after stepping down as working members of the Royal Family.
Meghan, an American citizen, is keen for the family to celebrate on July 4 every year.

The date marks Independence Day and is a federal holiday in the US commemorating the Declaration of Independence.
Last year the Sussexes took their young children to a Fourth of July parade in their hometown Montecito.
Prince Harry was seen carrying his daughter Princess Lilibet during the celebrations.
The royals joined locals to watch the line-up of vintage automobiles and floats from community organisations.

In 2022, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrated Independence Day in the Jackson Hole Valley in Wyoming.
Archie and Lilibet have not visited the UK since 2022, however, Prince Harry has made multiple trips back to London since then including two in 2024.
The King has reportedly met his granddaughter Princess Lilibet just once.
Harry and Meghan's stance on Archie and Lilibet has left King Charles unhappy, according to a source.

The insider claimed that King Charles is not content with only seeing his grandchildren through video calls with Harry.
The source said: "The King is absolutely committed to being present in all of his grandchildren's lives.
"He values family above everything and whatever the course of his relationship with his son he would never be content with just seeing his grandchildren on the odd video call."
