The People's Channel presenter has slammed the Sky comedy show following its latest instalment

Josh Howie has joined the growing list of outraged voices after Saturday Night Live UK broadcast a joke by Weekend Update co-host Ania Magliano that appeared to suggest Meta chief executive Mark Zuckerberg should take his own life.

During the segment, Ms Magliano referenced reports that the Facebook founder is constructing an underground shelter beneath his California property.

The SNL UK cast member then remarked: "And I hope he uses that bunker in exactly the same way Hitler did."

The comment drew audible gasps from the studio audience as viewers realised the implication - a reference to the Nazi leader's suicide in his Berlin bunker during the final days of the Second World War.

The Weekend Update segment also featured co-host Paddy Young delivering a joke about Jesus Christ being "the only murdered Palestinian we can talk about", another line that pushed boundaries during the broadcast.

Other public figures found themselves in the firing line during the satirical news segment.

Donald Trump, Keir Starmer, and golfer Tiger Woods were all targeted, with Mr Young quipping about Woods's recent car crash in Florida: "According to a police report at the scene of his car crash in Florida last week, Tiger Woods had two opioid pills in his pocket.

"Woods claimed he was only keeping them in his pocket because he'd run out of room in his bloodstream."

Clips of the segment rapidly circulated online, with social media users expressing shock and questioning whether such material should have been broadcast.

And among them was Free Speech Nation host Josh, who pulled no punches with his critique of Mr Young's gag: "Hey SNL UK, I know you’re all new to this comedy thing, but a word of advice.

"For a joke to be funny, it has to be tethered to truth. Mazel tov, you actually managed to write a gag founded on two whoppers.

"That both lies are predicated on Jew-hate (erasure of Jewish history and Jews control media) p****s me off, but it’ll actually be your ineptitude that leads to your imminent demise."

After learning of Ms Magliano's skit, Josh added in a second X post: "Two antisemitic jokes in one episode. These guys really want to crack the youth market."

Many of the GB News star's followers rushed to comment on the sketches following his no-holds-barred verdict.

"Woke and antisemitic in the first season of a new show is a hell of a move," one X user mocked, while a second hit out: "I hope nobody is watching this s***e. Disgusting."

"Wow. I won’t be watching that show," a third weighed in, while a fourth critiqued: "Aside from the fact it's s**t, that's such a clunky line. I suspect they panicked and tried to pull the punch a bit, so cowards as well."

The British adaptation of the long-running American format remains in its early stages, having launched on Sky One on March 21, 2026.

Industry sources have indicated that Sky is spending approximately £2 million per episode on the production.

Viewing figures have shown a decline since the premiere, which attracted around 226,000 viewers, with subsequent episodes seeing audience numbers fall.

Mr Zuckerberg, who is Jewish, has not issued any public response to the joke.
