Prince Harry’s close friendship with Princess Kate has been unveiled by a former royal butler, whose new book will soon be available to purchase.
The Duke of Sussex's strained ties with the Royal Family have been well documented in recent years, particularly since he stepped back from royal duties and relocated to the United States with Meghan Markle and their children.
In his memoir Spare, Harry spoke candidly about the collapse of his bond with Prince William, while in a more recent interview with the BBC, he claimed that King Charles “won’t speak” to him.
Despite this, the monarch's aides recently engaged in “peace talks” with the Sussexes' team in an effort to repair relations.

Now, fresh insights are emerging about Harry’s once-close relationship with the Princess of Wales.
Former Palace butler Grant Harrold has shared new details about how the Duke of Sussex enjoyed a warm friendship with Kate before his departure from royal life.
Harry and Kate were known to share a light-hearted bond. They exchanged humorous Christmas gifts and, according to reports, Kate was left “in tears” when Harry confirmed he was leaving behind his royal role.
In his forthcoming book, The Royal Butler: My Remarkable Life of Royal Service, M Harrold recounts the friendship between Harry and Kate during the early years of her marriage to William.

In an excerpt published by The Telegraph, he wrote: “[William and Kate] involved him [Harry]. He used to go out with Kate. William would be away, and Kate and Harry would be off doing stuff together.”
According to Mr Harrold, the pair would often spend time in ordinary settings, from going shopping to visiting the pub.
He continued: “I think when people say, ‘Oh he was left out’ he really wasn’t, but also, he was with Chelsy. Chelsy was always around, and Chelsy and Kate got on really well.”
Before meeting Meghan, Harry was in a long-term relationship with Ms Davy. The couple dated for six years before parting ways in 2010, but they remained on good terms, with Ms Davy later attending Harry and Meghan’s 2018 wedding.

The revelations come at a time when speculation about Harry’s place within the Royal Family continues to dominate headlines.
