Cole warned Harry’s lavish lifestyle means the coffers could quickly run dry

Royal reporter Michael Cole has told GB News a Prince Harry finance “bombshell” has dropped with the King reportedly willing to help his son out financially.

The claim was originally made by Robert Jobson in his upcoming biography about Kate Middleton, titled, “Catherine: The Princess of Wales.”

Cole warned Harry’s lavish lifestyle means the coffers could quickly run dry, hence why the suggestion has been raised.

“I would have thought that with the lifestyle they have adopted in Montecito, it’s extremely expensive”, he said.

“They have high expectations. Although they have earned a great deal of money from Netflix in particular and other ventures they are undertaking or have completed, you can quickly become poor and their ambitions are high.”

It comes after author Robert Jobson claimed in his new book that King Charles is concerned about what he dubs “the Harry problem”.

“‘What worries His Majesty, and his top team,’ says a Palace official, ‘is what is going to happen when all the money runs out.'”

Cole told Bev Turner he would expect the King to help his youngest son out in any way he can, as he still harbours hopes of a reconciliation.

Relations have become increasingly strained since Harry and his wife Meghan Markle stepped away from royal duties and moved to America in 2020.

The couple have frequently criticised figures of the Royal Family like Princess Kate, King Charles and Prince William.

But the former BBC royal correspondent claimed this will do little to quell Charles’s willingness to support his son.

“King Charles has had a tap of the shoulder from fate”, he said.

“He’s got cancer. He, above all, wants reconciliation with his younger son.

“He would perhaps take a view that if he can help his son, he will. The door has already been opened.

“He is always open to Prince Harry, even though he said some very unkind, uncharitable and very hurtful things not just about the King, but the Queen.

“Queen Camilla, Prince William and the Princess of Wales. There’s a lot of bad blood there, I’m afraid.”
