Prince Harry's family understand his position during the Sussex's ongoing feud with senior members of the monarchy, according to a source.
The Duke of Sussex has kept a close relationship with his mother's side of the family despite his feud with the royals.
The Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex both attended their uncle Lord Fellows' funeral in Norfolk last Wednesday.
Lord Fellows married Lady Jane Spencer, Princess Diana's sister, and served as the late Queen's private secretary.

An insider said the Spencers are attempting to heal the rift between William and Harry.
A friend of the Spencers told The Daily Beast: "Behind the scenes, the Spencers have been working hard to get the brothers to reconcile.
"They understand William’s hurt at Harry’s betrayal, but they also understand Harry’s position because of the way Diana was treated by the Windsors."
The friend added: "Harry is still very close to his mother’s family. If anyone can mediate between the brothers it will be Jane."
Prince Harry's strong relationship with the Spencers was on display in May 2024 at an event to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

The royals both attended the service at St Mary’s Church in Snettisham, to support their aunt and the wider Spencer family.
However, according to eyewitnesses they kept their distance from each other amid their ongoing feud and did not speak to one another.
It was the first time the brothers had been in the same room for over a year.

Prince Harry and Prince William last saw each other at King Charles's Coronation in May 2023.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as working members of the Royal Family in 2020.
Since then the couple have launched multiple public attacks on senior royals, including William and King Charles, through TV interviews and Harry's autobiography.
