Snooker maestro Judd Trump, who will defend his UK Championship title at the upcoming tournament, has transformed his life dramatically, swapping Bristol for residences in Dubai and Hong Kong.
The 35-year-old star has accumulated 30 ranking titles throughout his illustrious career, positioning him fourth on the all-time list behind only Ronnie O'Sullivan, Stephen Hendry and John Higgins.
His collection includes five Triple Crown titles and the 2019 World Championship victory at the Crucible. The Bristol-born player recently reached the semi-finals of this year's World Championships, falling to Mark Williams 17-14.
Trump's decision to establish bases thousands of miles from Britain represents a complete departure from his previous lifestyle.

The move signals a new chapter for one of snooker's most accomplished players, who continues to compete at the highest level whilst embracing life abroad.
The permanent relocation to Dubai marks a significant commitment for Trump, who confirmed earlier this year that his practice tables were being removed from the UK. "My practice tables are getting taken out next week so it's pretty permanent now," he stated.
He maintains residences in both Dubai and Hong Kong, dividing his time between the two locations based on tournament schedules.
"My main base will be in Dubai but my girlfriend lives in Hong Kong. I have residence in both Dubai and Hong Kong so I'll be split between them depending where the tournaments are," Trump explained.
The lifestyle change has been profound. "It's very different, completely different from what I'm used to," he remarked, describing his previous routine of practising and spending evenings at home.
Judd Trump is pondering whether to celebrate with his girlfriend Maisy Ma after his UK Championship victory | Trump's partner is Hong Kong figure skater and television personality Maisy Ma, who is ten years his junior. The couple maintain a low profile, avoiding sharing photographs together on social media platforms.
Ma has achieved success in competitive skating, earning multiple medals, and has established herself as a television presenter. Her work includes hosting coverage of the Paris Olympics and equestrian events, alongside corporate engagements with Mercedes-Benz.
"She's used to being in the limelight herself, she still does TV work. It's a good balance because she knows what I'm going through, I think that helps as well," Trump said of their relationship.
Ma commands a substantial social media following, with more than 180,000 Instagram followers. Their relationship appears to provide mutual understanding of the demands that come with public prominence.
Trump's financial achievements reflect his sporting success, with an estimated net worth of approximately £10 million. Career prize money exceeds £8 million, according to CueTracker data.
The current season has proved particularly lucrative, generating £1.56 million in earnings. His victory at the Saudi Arabia Masters alone secured £500,000.
His recent World Championship semi-final appearance added £100,000 to his earnings, though he missed out on the £500,000 winner's prize or the £200,000 for reaching the final.

Judd Trump won the UK Championship last year while snooker chief Barry Hearn described him as a 'part-time playboy'
| PAThese substantial earnings have enabled Trump's international lifestyle and property investments across multiple countries. His financial security allows him to maintain residences in both Dubai and Hong Kong whilst continuing to compete at snooker's elite level.
The snooker star previously faced scrutiny over his lifestyle, with promoter Barry Hearn once describing him as a "part-time playboy". Trump firmly rejected this characterisation in an interview with The Independent: "Barry Hearn has said there's no time for playboys, but I'm not a playboy."
Before his relationship with Ma, Trump was involved with UAE equestrian Khadijah Misr, who attended his 2017 Players Championship victory. That partnership eventually ended.
His new environment appears to have brought greater contentment. "It's a more outdoorsy lifestyle, living in those different places, a lot more time after snooker to spend in the sun, or go to the beach or whatever," he noted.

Trump believes the change has improved his perspective on competition. "Where I'm living as well, it makes it easier to accept defeat," he reflected.
