Prince Harry has been described as "desperately needing" King Charles as his return to the UK, and a potential meeting with his father, approaches, a royal biographer has declared.
The Duke of Sussex will travel to Britain on Monday for his first visit in nearly half a year, attending the WellChild Awards ceremony in London.
Harry last travelled to his homeland in May for a High Court case regarding his UK security provisions, where he suffered a bruising legal defeat.
As the significant return approaches, the necessity of a "face-to-face" meeting with King Charles for the Duke has been laid bare.

Ahead of Monday, royal biographer Ingrid Seward declared that: "My opinion is that Harry desperately needs the stardust of meeting his father."
The commentator shared that Harry would greatly benefit from the positivity of such a sit-down.
"He needs the glow of being the king's son to shine on him.
"I think Harry would be very keen to meet his father, and as a parent, I would think Charles would probably like to see him," Ms Seward told Newsweek.

Looking at the dynamic from the King’s perspective, the biographer felt the desire to reunite with his grandchildren would motivate Charles.
"Charles isn't seeing his grandchildren, that must be really sad for him, and if a meeting can be arranged without too much drama, he will see Harry," Ms Seward observed.
Her assessment comes as speculation mounts about whether father and son will meet during the upcoming visit, with rumours and challenges to a potential coming together swirling in royal circles.
The relationship between the duke and monarch has remained fractured since Harry stepped down as a working royal with Meghan Markle in 2020, subsequently permanently relocating to California.

In recent months, progress towards reconciliation emerged as representatives from Harry and the King convened for secret peace talks in London.
The duke was later believed to have offered to share diary dates with the Royal Family to avoid engagement overlaps.
A US source also recently suggested that genuine determination exists on both sides to facilitate a reunion.

"For the first time in a long time, there's a genuine sense that reconciliation is within reach," the source told The Mirror on Monday.
Harry will arrive alone in the UK to fulfil his duties as patron of the children's charity, WellChild, a role he has maintained for 17 years. His children, Archie and Lilibet, will remain in America due to security concerns.
The 40-year-old duke will deliver a speech and present honours to young recipients at the annual event, having previously attended the ceremony on 14 occasions
Harry’s appearance carries particular significance as it falls precisely three years after Queen Elizabeth II passed away at Balmoral on September 8, 2021.
