Lady Amelia Windsor has remembered her grandmother, Katharine, the Duchess of Kent, who has died aged 92.
The 30-year-old model issued a touching tribute to the late royal on social media after Buckingham Palace announced her death on Friday.
The Palace said in a statement that the duchess "passed away peacefully last night at Kensington Palace, surrounded by her family."
Following the announcement, statements of mourning were issued from the King and Queen, Prince and Princess of Wales, Prime Minister and others, including Katharine’s granddaughter.

Lady Amelia, the daughter of George Windsor, Earl of St Andrews and Canadian academic Sylvana Tomaselli, took to social media to make her commemoration.
The 30-year-old shared a glamorous black and white photo of the duchess in her youth.
In a subtle but touching addition, Lady Amelia added a simple love heart emoji to the image shared on her Instagram story.
The post, while wordless, communicated the model’s love and connection with her late grandmother.

|On Friday, a statement from Buckingham Palace read: It is with deep sorrow that Buckingham Palace announces the death of Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Kent.
"Her Royal Highness passed away peacefully last night at Kensington Palace, surrounded by her family.
"The King and Queen and all Members of The Royal Family join The Duke of Kent, his children and grandchildren in mourning their loss and remembering fondly The Duchess’s life-long devotion to all the organisations with which she was associated, her passion for music and her empathy for young people," the statement concluded.
Later, the Prince and Princess of Wales sent a personal message commemorating the death of the duchess.

"Our thoughts today are with The Duke of Kent and his family, particularly George, Helen and Nicholas," Prince William and Princess Kate began.
"The Duchess worked tirelessly to help others and supported many causes, including through her love of music.
"She will be a much missed member of the family. W & C," they signed off.
The use of William and Kate’s initials signified that the statement had come from the royals personally.

The Duchess of Kent, Katharine Worsley, married Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent, in 1961 and shared three living children and 10 grandchildren, including Lady Amelia.
Their three children are George, Earl of St Andrews, 63, Lady Helen Taylor, 61, and Lord Nicholas Windsor, 55.
Katharine, a music-lover, captivated Wimbledon crowds as the tournament's trophy presenter.
Lady Amelia would share a love for tennis with her grandmother, attending the championships with the Duke of Kent earlier this year.
