Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is expected to move out of Royal Lodge by Easter, new reports have suggested.

The former prince has been living at the Windsor property since 2003, but in October 2025, it was confirmed by Buckingham Palace that he will be relocating to a property on the Sandringham estate.

In a statement, the Palace said: "His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew.

"Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence.

"Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation.

"These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.

"Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse."

According to sources who spoke to the Mail, Andrew will be "out" of Royal Lodge by Easter.

Each year, the Royal Family joins King Charles and Queen Camilla for church at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, a stone's throw away from Royal Lodge.

If Andrew does leave his soon-to-be former home at Easter, it means he will not cross paths with any senior members of the Royal Family.

The former duke did attend last year's religious ceremony alongside his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, and their children, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

It is not yet known which property Andrew will move to in Norfolk, but the living expenses are expected to be privately funded by King Charles.

Royal author Rob Jobson told Hello!: "The royals are hoping to draw a line under the Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor controversy in 2026.

"He is expected to move out of his Royal Lodge home in Windsor for a more modest property on the King's private Sandringham estate.

"Whether it ends the lurid speculation about him only time will tell, but it is doubtful."

Andrew's HRH styling and princely title were officially stripped in November.

In addition, his Order of the Garter and Royal Victorian Order honours were removed in December.

The fallout stems from Andrew's association with the late convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.

In 2019, he stepped down as a working member of the Royal Family after his disastrous Newsnight interview.

The former prince has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
