Meghan Markle has shared a rare photograph of her rescue beagle Mia on Instagram to promote her lifestyle brand, As Ever, after announcing plans to "step back" and determine the company's future direction.
The "As Ever" Instagram account posted the image on Wednesday, showing the nine-year-old dog inspecting fresh vegetables from the Duchess of Sussex's garden.
The post came amid uncertainty about As Ever's future direction, with Meghan revealing plans to step back and assess the brand's performance in its first year.
The photograph showed Mia sniffing the contents of a woven bag filled with produce grown in Meghan's garden at the couple's Montecito home.

Meghan captioned the Instagram post: "The unofficial quality inspector of this morning's garden haul," referring to Mia, who buried her face in the fresh produce.
The haul comprised broccoli, carrots, corn, red peppers and squash as well as spring onions and an assortment of fresh herbs.
The Instagram post came after Meghan revealed her plans to "step back to assess" what As Ever had achieved in its first year during an interview with The Fast Company.
She confirmed that new products will not go live until the first quarter of 2026 as she gathers data from the launch to determine the company's future direction.

As Ever's inaugural product range, including jams, honey and teas, sold out within 45 minutes of launch earlier this year.
Meghan recently suggested she may never restock her famous jam, one of the brand's signature homely products.
Mia, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's beagle, was rescued by the Sussexes in 2022 from an animal testing centre and was first seen publicly in the family's Christmas card last December.
The prices on Meghan Markle's As Ever website were finally revealed earlier this year.

Mia arrived at the rescue centre having just given birth to eight puppies, with inspections finding dozens of violations of federal law at the facility over two years.
The Sussexes also own rescue chickens at their Montecito mansion.
