A jeweller has shared his feelings on Princess Kate wearing his bespoke design.
Princess Kate attended the HMS Glasgow naming ceremony last week, where she celebrated her role as patron of the new naval ship by smashing a bottle of whisky on its hull.
The Princess of Wales wore a bespoke sterling silver brooch on the lapel of her navy and white dress by Suzannah London for the historic occasion.
The intricate brooch was specially designed by James Porter & Son, one of Scotland's oldest jewellers.

Its fifth-generation managing director, Simon Porter, and his wife, Rachel, joined the princess during Thursday's ceremony.
"It was an absolute honour to see HRH The Princess of Wales wearing the brooch we designed for this historic occasion," Porter told Vanity Fair.
He added: "The bespoke piece was inspired by the crest of HMS Glasgow and aimed to capture the ship's strength, Glasgow's rich heritage, and the beauty of Scotland's natural landscape.
"Set against the navy backdrop of her dress, it truly stood out as an incredibly proud moment for our entire team."
Princess Kate and Prince William showcased their competitive spirit during a visit to HMS Glasgow.
PAThe brooch was commissioned by Commander Philip Burgess of HMS Glasgow and given as a gift from the Worshipful Companies of Taylors and Fan Makers.
The bespoke piece prominently features a thistle, reflecting Scotland's natural landscape.
Inside a medallion at the brooch's centre sits a figure in priestly robes with a mitre and staff, in reference to St Kentigern, Glasgow's patron saint.
Though Kate wasn't involved in the design process, the brand incorporated the princess's love of nature as part of its creation.

Princess Kate wore a beautiful dress from Suzannah London in Scotland's flag colours.
Kensington PalaceThe princess paired the new brooch with sapphire-and-diamond earrings that previously belonged to Princess Diana, creating an elegant combination of contemporary and historic pieces.
The princess's jewellery collection contains spectacular and historic hand-me-downs from the late Queen Elizabeth and Princess Diana, but she has a love for incorporating new pieces into her wardrobe and wearing old acquisitions with specific symbolism.
At a Buckingham Palace garden party last week, Kate wore earrings from London-based jeweller Robinson Pelham that she originally wore at her wedding in April 2011.
The earrings feature acorns at their centre, a reference to the Middleton family crest that was created for the occasion of her marriage to Prince William.
