Meghan's friend opens up on the Duchess of Sussex's relationship with Harry amid 'insane' criticism

The model told People: “It is insane to me how polarising she is for so many different people.

“She really is just such a kind, good person that wants the best for all her friends and the best for people around her, and the best for her own relationship and for her children.

Ms Teigen continued: “She just lives simply, people come up with all these different things that she could be about or what she wants, but it's not that complicated.

“I think it's cool that [Meghan] is just like, ‘Listen, say whatever you want. I'm happy and I'm healthy and I feel good.’”

Earlier this year, Meghan Markle marvelled at "how far" she had come while speaking with Ms Teigen on her Netflix lifestyle programme.

The Duchess of Sussex made the reflection while talking publicly for the first time about her stint as a "briefcase girl" on the game show Deal or No Deal.

Meghan worked on the US version of the programme in 2006, before landing her big break role in the legal drama Suits.

It was through this role that Meghan first met Ms Teigen, who also worked as a “briefcase girl” on the show.

The Duchess recalled: “I remember us all having to stand in line to get our lashes put on.”

Meghan added: “I was just so happy to have health insurance. I was like, ‘I get health insurance with this job’.”

Speaking to You Magazine in 2018, Ms Teigen discussed their time on the gameshow together.

She said: "I am especially a fan of Meghan. I was on Deal or No Deal with her and she was lovely.

"Now everyone asks me what she was like and I say: 'Sorry, no dirt. She's gorgeous'."
