The Royal Family only issue birthday messages to non-working members of the monarchy on milestone birthdays.

The Duchess of Sussex's lifestyle business, As Ever, shared a message to mark their founder's birthday on Monday.

The birthday message was accompanied by a new black and white image of Meghan smiling.

As Ever wrote: "Celebrating the woman behind it all.

"She pours her heart, vision and magic touch into every detail, and today, we raise a glass to her! Happy Birthday to our founder."

Senior royals are reluctant to reconcile with Meghan despite being open to peace talks with Prince Harry, according to a source.

Last month, representatives from King Charles and Prince Harry's households held their first formal discussions in years.

The meeting at a London private members' club was the first phase of "peace talks" between the two sides.

Meredith Maines, the Duke of Sussex's new chief communications officer, who is based in California, attended alongside Liam Maguire, who manages the Sussexes' UK public relations operations.

They met with Tobyn Andreae, the King's communications secretary, at the Royal Over-Seas League, near Clarence House.

A source told the Mail at the time: "There's a long road ahead, but a channel of communication is now open for the first time in years."

The source characterised the summit as merely the "first step towards reconciliation between Harry and his father, but at least it is a step in the right direction".

However, a separate insider has now claimed that while the Royal Family are open to a resolution with Prince Harry, they are reluctant to build bridges with Meghan.

A source told the Express: "They just don’t trust her."
