The engagement ensures there will be a royal presence at the memorial site's annual commemoration of the armistice that ended the First World War.
The commemoration will include a specially written poem by the Arboretum's resident poet, Arji Manuelpillai.
The poet’s work explores the personal relationships and shared experiences that develop through military service, subjects that resonate deeply with the Princess of Wales.
After the service concludes, the Princess of Wales will see the recently inscribed names on the Armed Forces Memorial.
She will then speak with veterans who attended the commemoration.
