COULD THE KING INVITE NIGEL FARAGE TO WINDSOR CASTLE IN HONOUR OF PRESIDENT TRUMP?
The Leader of the Liberal Democrats, Sir Ed Davey, has announced he is boycotting President Trump's state banquet at Windsor Castle next month.
Sir Ed said the boycott was a protest against the US President's stance on the Gaza conflict, describing the decision as the "one way" to send a message to President Trump and the Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
However, some think the move is snubbing the King; after all, His Majesty is the one hosting the state banquet.
Shadow foreign secretary Dame Priti Patel called the decision "an act of deep disrespect" to King Charles and "pathetic gesture politics".
With an apparent empty seat at the 50-metre-long table inside the grand St George's Hall, could another politician be invited in Sir Ed's place?
A number of GB News members have called on His Majesty to invited the leader of Reform UK Nigel Farage instead, who is on very good terms with President Trump.
An additional ally during dinner, as King Charles wields his soft power, could help strengthen the relationship between the United Kingdom and the United States.
Reform UK is also consistently polling higher than any other political party, according to YouGov.
However, senior politicians invited to attend a state banquet usually belong to a political party with multiple seats in the House of Commons.
Reform UK is less than a decade old, and only has four sitting MPs.
It would, therefore, be unprecedented if the Lord Chamberlain, the most senior officer of the Royal Household, extended an invitation to him.
The seating plan is kept confidential until guests enter St George's Hall in Windsor Castle, and I will be inside to capture the moment for GB News on 17 September.

WILL PRINCE HARRY MEET WITH KING CHARLES?
Prince Harry will return to London on the anniversary of the death of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, to attend the WellChild awards - a children's charity he has been patron of for 17 years.
Inevitably, many are speculating about whether there is going to be some sort of face to face meeting between King Charles and his son.
Honestly? We don't know 100% - and neither do his staff.
The Mirror cited a US-based source which said: "“It’s clear there is now a determination on both sides to make this happen. Nobody is pretending the wider family issues have been resolved, but this is about beginning with Charles and Harry.""
For the first time in a long time, there’s a genuine sense that reconciliation is within reach. Prince Harry's team and the Palace have opened a line of communication, and there is every hope that father and son will see one another when the Duke returns to London in September."
In other words, there is hope this meeting will happen, but that is far from confirmation.
King Charles usually spends his accession day privately at his Birkhall home, near Balmoral Castle, where Queen Elizabeth passed away.
The Duke of Sussex will be in London - roughly 500 miles away.
The King continues a weekly cycle of cancer treatment, and is unlikely to travel to London for a single meeting with Prince Harry.
Prince Harry could travel to see his father, of course, but any private meeting will require trust on both sides that no conversations will leak out.
If a meeting does take place, I suspect His Majesty and The Duke do not wish for it to become a fanfare.

KING PRESENTS SPECIAL HONOUR TO PRINCESS ANNE'S HUSBAND
On 21st August, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, Princess Anne's husband, was invested by The King with the Insignia of a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order at Balmoral Castle in a private ceremony.
I understand His Majesty bestowed the honour in recognition of his many years of public service, and that Sir Tim is "honoured and delighted".
The Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order is the highest grade within the Royal Victorian Order, awarded by the monarch personally for exceptional personal service to the sovereign.
The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence, a former Navy Officer, were married in a lowkey ceremony in Scotland in 1992.
Sir Tim is expected to wear the insignia at the State Banquet for President Trump at Windsor Castle next month.
