King Charles outlined "considerable challenges" that the world is facing in a letter delivered by Princess Anne on a royal tour.
The Princess Royal arrived in Sri Lanka on Wednesday, and handed a letter from the King to the country's President.
The princess, 73 has made the first royal overseas tour of 2024.
She was pictured handing the envelope to Ranil Wickremesinghe.

The monarch's sister was dressed in a deep pink dress, which was adorned with floral designs.
Anne teamed the sophisticated dress with a white scarf and matching evening gloves, styling her hair in its classic updo.
The princess also opted for pearl jewellery and carried a simple cream clutch.
The royal presented the letter at Wickremesinghe's official residence in Colombo, ahead of a private dinner.

The King addressed his concerns regarding climate change and international cooperation in the letter.
King Charles wrote: "The United Kingdom and Sri Lanka are bound by a deep, shared history.
"Her late Majesty the Queen, as head of state from 1952 to 1972, played a major role in Sri Lanka's formative years.
"Her visit to the country, just five months after her coronation, highlighted the closeness and strength of those bilateral bonds. In the intervening years, we have maintained that enduring connection between our peoples.
This is the first royal tour taken abroad in 2024
