Queen Camilla will visit the Royal United Hospital in Bath in a double-header day of engagements
The Queen is set to open a new cancer centre in southwest England today in the first of a number of engagements following the Royal Family's summer break.
Queen Camilla will visit the Royal United Hospital in Bath to unveil the multi-million-pound Dyson Cancer Centre - stop one in a double-header day for Her Majesty.
At the hospital, which gives cancer treatment to some 500,000 people across the South West, Camilla will meet patients - mirroring one of King Charles's first engagements after receiving his own diagnosis in February.
Back then, the King and Queen, the former of whom is patron of Cancer Research UK and Macmillan Cancer Support, visited central London's University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre to raise awareness of the importance of getting an early diagnosis.

Today, the Queen will talk to those receiving care at the hospital - and will hear about the support they've been given at the new centre and the Macmillan Wellbeing Hub, described as "a non-clinical, calming space where patients, families and carers can receive practical and emotional support".
Before departing, the Queen will unveil a plaque officially opening the Dyson Cancer Centre.
Her Majesty's visit will doubtless come as a boon to the hospital - whose supporters raised £10million between them to back the new centre, which was topped up by a £40million Government grant.
Some 11,000 people came together to help fund the new centre - and Camilla will be meeting some of them in the hospital's Main Atrium alongside staff members after greeting more patients at the William Budd inpatient ward.
LATEST ON CAMILLA:
Camilla will be swiftly heading over to a new "state-of-the-art" organic farming facility

In another nod to her and her husband's passions, the Queen will be swiftly heading over to a new "state-of-the-art" organic farming facility in nearby Lacock.
The Queen is set to meet Stonegate Farmers' chief executive Adrian Gott and staff at the farm to hear about their work.
Some of the team have worked at the near-century-old egg farm for over 40 years - but it's not just the people at the facility the Queen will be meeting.
Camilla is set to watch over activity in the farm's "main production area" where Stonegate's hens lay their eggs - some of which go on to supermarket shelves under upmarket Clarence Court branding.

Every week, Stonegate Farmers handles more than 18 million eggs from farms across the UK - and just like at the Royal United Hospital, the Queen is set to unveil a plaque officially opening the new facility.
The Queen, in her role as joint Royal President of the "Elephant Family" conservation charity alongside the King, will also inspect a display of decorated eggs which had been painted over Easter this year as part of a fundraiser for the group.
It's set to be a busy slate of engagements for Camilla, who just last week was seeing the Royal Family's annual trip to Balmoral Castle come to a close.
But it wasn't all summer frivolity at the Aberdeenshire estate - Princess Anne completed several public appearances throughout last week as the rest of the royals took some time off.
