Princess Kate and Prince William provided opposite answers on their daughter, Princess Charlotte, during recent appearances.
The Princess of Wales visited RAF Coningsby on Thursday, and as she departed the station, she met several young children who had gathered to greet the future queen.
Kate, 43, told 10-year-old Robin Sansum that her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, were jealous of her seeing military aircraft.
When a young boy admitted he enjoyed playing football at school, Kate replied: “That’s what our boys are playing at the moment. Charlotte is playing hockey.”

Kate's comments about the sports played by George, Charlotte and Louis appear to contradict Prince William's statement in his latest TV interview.
The Prince of Wales featured in an episode of The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy, where William welcomed the actor to Windsor Castle.
During the interview, the royal opened up about the sports played by his three children, aged 12, 10 and seven respectively.

He said: “Louis loves the trampoline, so he’s obsessed with trampolining, and actually Charlotte does a lot as well.
“As far as I can tell, they just end up jumping up and down on the trampoline, beating each other up, most of the time.
“Charlotte does her netball as well, and her ballet. George loves his football and his hockey.”
Kate said that George and Louis play football, while their sister plays hockey. However, William later contradicted her, saying that George plays hockey and Charlotte is learning netball and ballet.

LATEST ROYAL NEWS:
Prince William also provided an interesting insight about a rule that George, Charlotte and Louis have to follow.
He told Mr Levy: “None of our children have any phones, which we’re very strict about.”
The Prince of Wales also vowed to protect his family from media scrutiny, saying: “Growing up, I saw that with my parents, the media were so insatiable back then. They wanted every bit of detail they could absorb, and they were in everything, literally everywhere.
“They would know things, they’d be everywhere. And if you let that creep in, the damage it can do to your family life is something that I vowed would never happen to my family. And so, I take a very strong line about where I think that line is, and those who overstep it, I’ll fight against”
