The publication praised Princess Kate's for sharing her cancer treatment, breaking with the palace's traditionally reserved approach to medical information.

"As a popular public figure, Middleton's revelation brought significant attention to cancer awareness and treatment, including the rise in early-onset cancers in patients under age 50," the TIME tribute stated.
The magazine commended how she reduced her royal duties to focus on her health.
TIME noted that the princess "became a beacon for cancer patients, and inspired others to address their own health."

In January 2025, the Princess of Wales announced she was in remission after a surprise visit to The Royal Marsden Hospital in London.
During this outing, it was confirmed that she had previously received treatment there and became a patron of the medical centre alongside Prince William, 42.
