James Middleton, the younger brother of the Princess of Wales, has seemingly offered his backing to David Beckham during a turbulent period for the family.
The gesture came via Instagram, where Mr Middleton liked a photograph posted by the former footballer celebrating his wife Victoria's prestigious French accolade.
The show of support from someone with such close royal ties arrives as the Beckhams navigate their public rift with eldest son Brooklyn.
Just over a week ago, Brooklyn released a lengthy statement containing damaging allegations against his parents, declaring he had no intention of mending relations with them.

The former Spice Girl was bestowed with the title of Chevalière de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture during a ceremony in Paris on Monday, coinciding with Fashion Week.
Her husband marked the occasion by sharing an image of the family gathered together, projecting an appearance of solidarity.
"We are so proud of you and all that you have achieved @victoriabeckham," David wrote.
"Being named a Chevalière de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture... nobody deserves it more than you x We love you."

Brooklyn, 26, was missing from the photographs, while his younger siblings Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14, all attended alongside their partners.
The Beckhams maintain strong ties to the Royal Family, with David receiving his official knighthood from King Charles in November.
Their relationship with the royals spans many years, including invitations to both Prince William and Princess Kate's 2011 wedding and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's ceremony in 2018.
The Princess of Wales has been spotted wearing pieces from Victoria's fashion label on numerous occasions.

David demonstrated his devotion to the monarchy in 2022 when he waited 13 hours alongside ordinary members of the public to pay respects to Queen Elizabeth II as she lay in state.
Mr Middleton himself previously encountered David at Wimbledon in 2015, where he and his sister Pippa Matthews were photographed chatting with the footballer in the royal box.
Brooklyn sent shockwaves through social media on January 19 when he published a scathing six-page statement packed with allegations against his parents, announcing he does "not want to reconcile with [his] family".
The 26-year-old accused David and Victoria of attempting to undermine his marriage to Nicola Peltz, whom he married in April 2022.
He also claimed he was turned away from his father's 50th birthday celebrations, alleging he and his wife spent a week waiting in a London hotel while David refused to meet unless Ms Peltz was excluded.
