Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice continue to offer their disgraced father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, private support, according to an insider.

Friends say the York family has remained united following Andrew's loss of titles and honours in October, which came amid the ongoing fallout from his connections to Jeffrey Epstein.

"They remain a resilient family," one family friend told the iPaper, noting that the former Duke and Duchess of York and their daughters continue to support one another despite intense criticism.

Andrew is set to relocate from Royal Lodge, the 30-room Windsor mansion where he resided with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, to Marsh Farm on the King's 20,000-acre Norfolk estate.

Well-placed sources indicate he will have opportunities to spend treasured time with his grandchildren at the new property before Easter, dismissing reports that Eugenie has severed contact with her father.

"Both parents saw their grandchildren before Christmas," a family friend confirmed.

Visitors to Royal Lodge had previously observed the elegant saloon filled with children's toys, highlighting the importance of family gatherings.

However, trips to Sandringham, located 114 miles north of London and 140 miles from Windsor, are expected to become less frequent than the regular weekend visits the daughters made before October.

Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank maintain Ivy Cottage at Kensington Palace, which Andrew secured for them, though they now spend considerable time in Portugal with sons August and Ernest, somewhat removed from their parents' daily difficulties.

Beatrice, meanwhile, attended the World Economic Forum in Davos last week, maintaining a low profile while discussing her AI and technology advisory work.

As the elder daughter, she has traditionally taken a more active role in family discussions surrounding the crisis and feels greater responsibility for guiding her parents through it.

Both parents attended the christening of Beatrice's one-year-old daughter, Athena, at the Chapel Royal, St James's Palace in December.

Neither princess has indicated any desire to publicly criticise their parents.

Crisis PR expert Lauren Beeching believes they are handling an almost impossible situation appropriately.

She said: "Personally, I don't think the smartest move is for them to publicly announce that they're distancing themselves from their father.

“The more effective approach is simply not to be seen with him and not make a spectacle of it."
