Dara Huang appears to have been outside the UK at the time of Athena Mapelli Mozzi’s christening, after sharing an Instagram post showing her in the United States on the same day the ceremony took place in London.
Athena, the daughter of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, was christened on Friday in a private ceremony at the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace.
The service was understood to be a low-key family event attended by close relatives and friends, including Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, Sarah Ferguson, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and singer James Blunt.
Andrew's appearance came amid continuing scrutiny and marked his first public appearance since the loss of his Prince title and Dukedom of York.

The former duke and duchess additionally did not join the post-christening pub gathering.
On the same day as the christening, Ms Huang shared a photograph on her Instagram story showing her in Washington, DC.
The image was captioned “When in DC”, indicating she was in the US while the christening was taking place.
Ms Huang shares a son, Christopher Woolf, known as Wolfie, with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

The former couple welcomed their child in 2016, and Ms Huang has previously spoken publicly about their amicable co-parenting arrangement.
It is not known whether Wolfie accompanied his mother to the United States or remained in the UK with his father.
No public information has been released to clarify his whereabouts at the time of Athena’s christening.
There has been no suggestion that Wolfie was expected to attend the ceremony.
