Princess Beatrice has announced that her close friend, Princess Nina of Greece and Denmark, will be the godmother of her 11-month-old daughter Athena.
During a very special day for the princess, the private occasion saw Beatrice's closest friends and family join together at St James's Palace in London.
Beatrice and Nina have a strong friendship, joining up not just in the same social circles but with the Greek royal family too.
The two royal families previously holidayed together in Majorca in 1990.

Beatrice and her sister, Princess Eugenie, along with their husbands, were among the high-profile guests at the weddings of Princess Nina and Prince Philippos in Athens in October 2021.
The announcement today comes as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson made their first public appearance since losing their York titles.
The baptism at the Chapel Royal within St James's Palace saw Beatrice's parents come out of exile.
Andrew and Fergie's presence at the ceremony marked a major moment, being the first at a royal function since they lost their York titles in October.

The venue is significant for royal christenings, having hosted the baptisms of Princes George and Louis.
The christening had reportedly been delayed from earlier this year due to the scandal surrounding Athena's grandparents.
The former Duke and Duchess of York lost their titles in October following fresh disclosures regarding their connections to Jeffrey Epstein.

Beatrice is understood to have maintained a close bond with her mother, Sarah, throughout the Epstein turbulence, though her relationship with her father has become considerably more difficult.
A source told the Mail: "Beatrice has, of course, invited her father. But things are not warm between them. However, she's worried about him.
"He's going through a low ebb with his mental health, and she recognises that he dotes on his grandchildren and it would be cruel to deprive him of the chance to attend the christening."
The source added: "Some careful conversations and diplomacy with King Charles will have taken place to get to this stage."

Princess Anne was occupied at The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst Sovereign's Parade in Camberley, Berkshire, while the Wales family did not attend.
