The full list of members of the Royal Family who are attending the Duchess of Kent’s funeral at Westminster Cathedral this afternoon has been confirmed.

Katherine, Duchess of Kent, died surrounded by her family at Kensington Palace on September 4th, 2025.

Senior royals will attend the Requiem Mass this afternoon in what will be the first Catholic funeral service for a member of the monarchy since Westminster Cathedral’s construction in 1903.

King Charles will lead the Royal Family at the funeral this afternoon.

However, Queen Camilla has withdrawn from the service as she is suffering from a health issue.

The couple's three children are George, Earl of St Andrews, 63, Lady Helen Taylor, 61, and Lord Nicholas Windsor, 55.

Katherine became the first senior member of the Royal Family to publicly convert to Catholicism since the Act of Settlement, which bars Catholics from the line of succession.

She converted with Queen Elizabeth's permission, who saw it as a personal matter of faith.

Her final public appearance was last October at Kensington Palace, to watch the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards honour The Duke of Kent’s 89th birthday.

The Royal Family paid tribute to the Duchess of Kent on their official Instagram page this morning.

They wrote: “Today, members of the Royal Family will gather at Westminster Cathedral to remember the life of The Duchess of Kent.

|In 1961, The Duchess married The Duke of Kent, cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth II, in York Minster. Together, they had three children and ten grandchildren.

“Proudly of Yorkshire heritage, Her Royal Highness became a working Member of The Royal Family following her marriage, and in 1977 she was created a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO).

“For the last three decades of her life, The Duchess focused on her passion for music, stepping aside as a working Member of The Royal Family in 2002 to focus on her private and charitable work in this sector.”
