The US President first met Queen Elizabeth in 2018, during a working trip to the UK, being hosted for tea at Windsor Castle.

He joined the late Queen again in June 2019 as part of his first state visit, which included a State Banquet at Buckingham Palace.

Mr Trump was hosted again in September of this year for his second state visit, which he described as "absolutely beautiful".

The 47th President told GB News: "We were honoured just recently by King Charles and the family, the Royal Family.

"They couldn't be nicer. It was great. The whole thing... It couldn't have been more beautiful."

Mr Trump joked that he wanted a room similar to St George's Hall, where he had his second state banquet with the King.

He jested about the Grand Waterloo Table, saying he had to have one.

The US President said: "That room with a long table. It was amazing. I've never seen a room [like that]. I got to build one of them someday."

During Mr Trump's second state visit, he and Melania Trump laid a wreath at Queen Elizabeth II's tomb.

The US President declared it a "great honour" to visit St George's Chapel, where the late Queen is buried, after paying his respects at her tomb.

The President and the First Lady were given a tour of the chapel, spending around 10 minutes privately at the late monarch's final resting place.

Mr Trump had previously described Queen Elizabeth II as "a spectacular woman" and someone with whom he had a good rapport.

Speaking when the news came to light about the Queen's passing, the US President shared his memories of meeting her.

He previously told GB News in 2022: "We were going to spend just a short period of time, and we just got along really well, and we spent a lot more time than people thought. It was really quite something; we just got along very well.

"We had a good chemistry, and then, as you remember that evening, there was a big celebration (first state banquet).

"I sat next to the queen and we just talked all night long. She was incredible to speak to and so sharp; her mind was so sharp. It was something very special."
