US President Donald Trump has urged Republican members of Congress to vote to release the Epstein files.
On his Truth Social platform on Sunday evening, the President wrote: "House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide.
"Radical left lunatics in order to deflect from the great success of the Republican Party, including our recent victory on the Democrat “shutdown.”
"The Department of Justice has already turned over tens of thousands of pages to the public on “Epstein,” are looking at various Democrat operatives (Bill Clinton, Reid Hoffman, Larry Summers, etc.) and their relationship to Epstein, and the House Oversight Committee can have whatever they are legally entitled to, I don't care!

"Let’s start talking about the Republican Party’s record setting achievements, and not fall into the Epstein “trap,” which is actually a curse on the Democrats, not us."
The Trump administration has faced intense pressure from factions of his supporter base and key figures within his movement to release the files.

Mr Trump had a public fallout with MAGA loyalist Marjorie Taylor Greene over the release of the files
| REUTERSOver the weekend, Mr Trump had a public fallout with MAGA loyalist Marjorie Taylor Greene after the congresswoman pushed his administration to release all Department of Justice (DoJ) files on the disgraced paedophile financier.
The President labelled Ms Greene a "traitor", "wacky", and a "ranting lunatic", before saying all she does is "complain, complain, complain".
The Republican congresswoman told CNN on Sunday that, while she still supports Mr Trump, she strongly disagrees with the White House’s failure to disclose all files relating to Epstein.
She added that his comments about her personally were "so extremely wrong" and that "the types of words used that can radicalise people against me and put my life in danger".

The House of Representatives is expected to vote this week on legislation that would require the DoJ to release the files publicly.
Supporters of the bill appear to have enough backing for it to pass the House, though it remains uncertain whether it will gain sufficient support in the Senate.
Co-sponsor Thomas Massie said he believes up to 100 of his fellow Republican members of Congress could vote in favour of disclosure.
The legislation, known as the Epstein Files Transparency Act, aims to make all unclassified documents, communications, and records available to the public.
