Discussing the significance of Mr Trump's second UK State Visit, Mr Swenson explained: "This is a big moment for him, he loves this pageantry and he loves this country.
"He's got a great relationship with the royals, and I think he's really enjoying this. It's a great moment."
Asked by host Ellie Costello what he thinks the US President is hoping to achieve from his latest UK visit, Mr Swenson said: "There's a lot of soaking up the pomp and pageantry, but I also think there's diplomacy involved.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Heaping praise on Britain as the "best place" for Mr Trump to visit, the Republican stated: "This is the world stage, there's no better place to do a State Visit than Great Britain.
"And so for the President, it's a way to almost do a victory lap, after November from the election, but also talk about what he's done so far. The pace and scale of what he's done in the first eight months is pretty incredible."
As Ellie pointed out that a joint flypast between US and UK forces will take place during the State Visit, Mr Swenson emphasised the "tight" special relationship between the two countries and their leaders.
Mr Swenson told GB News: "It's incredible, I'm really looking forward to that flypast. It just demonstrates the relationship is super tight.

"It doesn't matter really who's President or Prime Minister, but as I said, President Trump really has a fondness for the UK.
"So the defence and security relationship is critical, the intelligence sharing and economics of course, but it will be great to see the flyover with with both air forces involved. It'll be wonderful."
He concluded: "If this State Visit was in any other country, I don't think it would get the attention or very little attention of Americans, and this is again a great moment. There's no better place to do it.
"The American public is actually quite fascinated by the Royal Family, and so this is a big media event in the States."
