Britain is "headed for civil war," ally of Donald Trump Steve Bannon warned GB News in a candid interview as her revealed he is unsure the country can be saved.
Mr Bannon delivered his damning verdict in an interview with GB News reporter Steven Edginton, where he said that Britain has "gone broke".
"The Chancellor of the Exchequer is saying it’s just a mathematical computation problem. I think she’s wrong. The reality is: you’re broke," he said.
He explained: "If you look at the undercurrents in England right now, there’s a spontaneous populist movement emerging.

"People are putting up the English flag, the cross of Saint George, and the Union Jack, and then authorities are taking them down. That says something.
"Unless there’s a major course correction, I think England is heading towards a civil war.

When asked which side America would fall on if a civil war were to happen, Mr Bannon said: "Well, it depends. Some of the progressive left will side differently.
"Now, some people are saying, 'Why is Bannon sticking his nose in British politics?'
"But as I said in my speech: I think we have the same problem here. In our big cities, with mass illegal immigration and the lack of control at the border, we’re dealing with the same issues.
"That’s the main event for us: getting our country back, taking control of our borders and cities, and tackling the Chinese Communist Party, which is heavily involved in all of this.
"The Middle East? That’s a sideshow. That’s how I see the Middle East today.
"The real existential threat to Israel, and to Jewish people worldwide, doesn’t come from Tehran. It comes from what’s happening in London and New York.
